Today in Primary, one of our kids shared a talk that really put things in perspective for me. Like most of us here in Provo, he was really moved by the loss of our beautiful tabernacle; but he was much quicker to learn from it than the rest of us:
This week a beautiful building in our neighborhood burnt down. As long as I can remember I have seen this building 2-6 times a day as we ran to school, the library, the store and on other errands. I can remember going to Stake Conference and other meetings there. Most days even though I passed by the Tabernacle many times I didn’t stop to think about how amazing and beautiful it was. I was too busy thinking about other things. During this holiday season let us remember the true meaning of Christmas. We need to stop and think about how amazing and beautiful this gift is that Jesus Christ has given us. Lets follow his example and be kind to others and forgiving of everyone. (Darby, age 9)
To Darby's words, I would like to add that Jesus Christ has given us the greatest gift of all. That because a baby was born in a stable, thousands of years ago, in a country far away, old things will be new again, and we can live forever with our families again. With Christ, nothing and no one will ever truly be lost. He is the King of Kings, our Savior and Redeemer.

When I read about that picture being saved, I was just so amazed at all of the little miracles that keep happening every day.
That was a very profound statement from that little boy. Kids to tend to see things that we don't.
That is an unbelievably great story, coming out of sad news about the tabernacle. I got chills reading it and seeing the painting of Jesus. Thanks for sharing!
