What You've Missed

My poor neglected blog! Life has been so crazy the past couple of months. Crazy, but good! Here's some of what you've missed:

• It finally got warm(ish)! So we headed to the mountains to spend an afternoon. Barefeet and a Creamie, Ellie could not be happier.

• Bear Lake with the Tessems. We had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures! There was much tennis-playing, indoor swimming, movie watching, game playing, and junk food eating. We were there over The Rapture and were happily un-surprised to find we were all there the next day.

• Camping with the Stewarts. We all (minus Jenny in Jerusalem) met at Nizhoni campground, near Blanding, UT, for the Memorial Day weekend. So much fun! There was great food, hiking to 700 year old Pueblo ruins, skinny dipping in the freezing mountain creek (okay, that was just Ellie), FHE around the campfire, extreme mountain croquet, and sleeping in tents--or as Ellie calls them, "temples."

• Our 6th Anniversary! You know you've been married for awhile when you both forget it's your anniversary! We were camping with the fam that day and didn't really celebrate, but we have tickets to a concert next week to celebrate together, just a little late.

• The rise and fall of Zumba. Okay, that sounds way more dramatic than it is. After teaching my own class for two months, I had to call it quits. It was consuming every spare moment of my life (hence the no-blogging), and affecting my ability to take care of other, more important responsibilities. So I'm not longer teaching my own Zumba class, but I'm very involved in helping the studio and other instructors succeed, including substituting their classes. It's a good arrangement.

• Ellie's tantrum phase. I think she hit two a little early. It's been epic. Good thing this kid is so cute when she's not yelling!

• Summer! Even though Ellie's not in school and Scott's school doesn't break at all for summer, something about all the neighborhood kids getting out of school really makes it feel like summer. Summer for us means going to the park, the library reading programs, the farmer's market on the weekend, and swimming lesson!

Dear blog, I promise to be less neglectful, k? Summer's gonna rock.
